Privacy Policy

Your Privacy is Mount's Priority.

Last Updated: March 23, 2026

App Overview & Philosophy

Mount is a premium photo presentation tool built on a simple, non-negotiable principle: Privacy by design. We believe that your photos, their creative process, and their metadata are yours alone. Mount is designed to be a tool, not a data harvester.

Data Collection (The 'No Data' Policy)

Photos

Mount requests access to your photo library solely to allow you to select, edit, and save your work. All image processing is performed locally on your device. No photos are ever uploaded to our servers, stored remotely, or shared with third parties.

Metadata

Mount reads EXIF data (such as focal length, aperture, and location) only to display it as an optional design element on your canvas. This data stays on your device and is never transmitted.

Account Information

Mount does not require user accounts. We do not collect names, email addresses, phone numbers, or any other personal identifiers.

Data Retention & Deletion

Because Mount processes all data locally and does not use accounts or cloud storage, we do not retain any of your personal data on our servers. To "delete" your data from the app, simply close the app or delete it from your device. Your original photos remain in your Apple Photo Library and are subject to your device's global settings.

Third-Party Services

In-App Purchases

We use Apple's In-App Purchase system for optional support and donations. All transactions are handled securely by Apple. Mount never sees or stores your credit card details or billing information.

Analytics

We do not use any third-party analytics or tracking software. Your usage of Mount remains private to you.

Permissions & User Consent

Mount only requests access to your data when it is strictly necessary for the app's functionality.

  • Photo Library Access: We use the standard iOS photo picker to let you select images. We only access the specific images you choose to "mount."
  • Write Access: We request permission to save the final rendered image back to your camera roll.
  • Revoking Consent: You can revoke these permissions at any time via iOS Settings > Mount.

App Store Transparency

The disclosures in this policy are consistent with Mount’s "Privacy Nutrition Label" on the App Store. We do not track you or link any data to your identity.
